Seminar on the Psychological Aspects of Violence Against Women and the Introduction of KADES (Women Emergency Support System) Application
A seminar titled “The Psychological Aspects of Violence Against Women and the Introduction of KADES (Women Emergency Support System) Application” was held at Artova Vocational School on Monday, March 10.
The seminar was presented by Expert Psychologist and Family Counselor Berna Argun from the Tokat Provincial Police Department’s Social Services and Health Branch, and Acting Chief of Police, Chief Inspector Fatih Kaptan from Artova District Police Department. Participants were provided with valuable information on the psychological effects of violence against women and important solutions available to address this issue.
In the first part of the seminar, Expert Psychologist Berna Argun elaborated on the psychological impacts of violence against women and shared information regarding the different types of violence.
In the second part, Chief Inspector Fatih Kaptan introduced the KADES (Women Emergency Support System) application. KADES, a system enabling women to receive immediate assistance in emergency situations, was introduced to the participants. Kaptan explained how KADES creates a safe environment for women and serves as an effective tool in combating violence, as well as how it simplifies the management of emergency processes.
The event, aimed at informing students and raising awareness about both violence against women and significant applications such as KADES, attracted great interest from students.
The seminar concluded with Prof. Dr. Hasan Coşkun, Director of Artova Vocational School, presenting certificates of appreciation to the speakers.
